About This Lens

The enVista Toric IOL by Bausch + Lomb is a premium monofocal toric lens providing outstanding distance clarity while correcting corneal astigmatism. The defocus curve reflects its monofocal design: outstanding at distance (0D) with a gradual decline toward intermediate and near. Patients achieve excellent distance vision with minimal nighttime side effects : the ideal choice for patients prioritizing clarity, safety, and simplicity.

Clinical Performance

Defocus Curve : enVista Toric

The defocus curve below is based on published binocular clinical trial data, showing visual acuity (logMAR) across a range of distances. Lower values indicate sharper vision. The gray dashed line shows a standard monofocal lens for comparison. Stars reflect clinical performance at distance, intermediate, and near based on the published data.

Key Features

What Sets the enVista Toric Apart

  • Precision astigmatism correction: corrects corneal astigmatism at cataract surgery for clearer distance vision
  • EVO formula toric calculator: advanced toric power calculation improving predictability for borderline cases
  • TruSight material: glistening-free hydrophobic acrylic with 25x the hardness of traditional IOLs
  • StableFlex Technology: controlled lens unfolding for reliable optic recovery during implantation
  • SureEdge design: square-edge barrier reducing risk of posterior capsular opacification

Patient Candidacy

Who Is the enVista Toric Best For?

enVista Toric is the ideal choice for patients with astigmatism who want the simplicity and predictability of a monofocal lens with excellent distance clarity.

  • Patients with corneal astigmatism who are comfortable wearing reading glasses for near tasks
  • Patients who want the most predictable, side-effect-free outcome from cataract surgery
  • Patients highly sensitive to halos or glare not suitable for premium range-of-vision IOLs
  • Patients with underlying eye conditions where a premium multifocal is not recommended

enVista Toric is a monofocal lens and will not reduce dependence on reading glasses. Patients who want to minimize glasses use at all distances should consider the enVista Envy Toric or another trifocal/EDOF toric option.
